Mohamed A Alqasem

Secretary GeneralDr Mohammad Alqasem holds a BS degree from the Computer and Information Sciences College at King Saud University in Riyadh, a master’s degree in information technology from the University of Pittsburgh, USA, and a PhD in computer science from the University of Keele, UK.Dr Alqasem was the head of the department of computer science at King Fahad Security College and he also worked in the National Information Technology Plan project. Then he worked as an adviser to the minister of communications and information technology. Dr Alqasem has also been secretary general of the National ICT Plan and has worked as an adviser to the CEO of the Saudi Telecom Company. Currently Dr Alqasem is secretary general of the Council of Competition.Dr Alqasem has participated in several committees and consulting and technical studies, in addition to his career teaching in universities and colleges in Saudi Arabia. Dr Alqasem is an author of several books.
