Michael O’Mara is counsel in Axinn’s Washington, DC office. His practice is focused on merger review, antitrust counselling and antitrust litigation. He has worked on merger filings and investigations in the United States before both the Federal Trade Commission and the Department of Justice, as well as in the European Union, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, China, Germany, India, Israel, Japan, Mexico, Russia, South Africa, South Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey and others. He was the lead associate in Axinn’s representation of Dell Technologies’ acquisition of EMC Corporation and currently represents Tyson Foods in a treble-damages class action, direct purchaser litigations and regulatory investigations alleging industry-wide conspiracies to raise the prices of broiler chickens.

Michael received his undergraduate degree in public policy and American institutions from Brown University and JD from Duke University School of Law. Prior to attending law school, Michael worked as a research assistant for the New England Public Policy Center at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston.
