Matthew Modell is counsel in the antitrust and disputes practice group of Shearman & Sterling’s Washington, DC, office.
His practice focuses on antitrust and other complex litigation at the trial level in federal and state courts throughout the country, including antitrust and trade regulation, internal and government investigations, criminal antitrust defence, class actions, false claims and private and government litigation. He has represented clients in varied industries, including defence, oil and gas, financial services, retail, telecommunications and technology.
Matt is also an attorney on the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States and has worked on numerous transactions and mitigation agreements.
Prior to being in private practice, Matt served as a law clerk to Judge Terrence W Boyle of the US District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina.
