Marta Giner Asins heads the competition law team and is responsible for the firm’s life sciences and healthcare practice in Paris.
Marta advises her clients in litigation proceedings before French and European competition authorities and courts, with a focus on abuse of dominance, particularly in the press and pharmaceutical distribution sectors. She is also a specialist in investigations conducted by the competition authorities (including dawn raids) and on companies’ data protection requirements. She recently advised in a case that led to the total cancellation of visits to, and seizures at, a client’s premises by the French authorities.
She has acted for new entrants as well as for dominant operators. She regularly deals with notifications to the French or European Community authorities, as well as in transactions requiring notification in multiple countries.
Marta also assists companies in identifying competition law risks and in implementing compliance programmes tailored to their needs, particularly in the life sciences and healthcare sector.
Marta’s recent experience in the life sciences and healthcare sector comprises advising companies such as Pfizer, Cephalon, Medtronic, DASTRI and Zoetis, including on regulatory matters.
