Marco Lopez Volio has been an associate attorney of the Zürcher, Odio & Raven law firm since 2004. His areas of professional practice include constitutional law, administrative law, antitrust law and regulatory law. He served from 2002–2005 as judicial clerk in the Costa Rican Supreme Court participating in the drafting and investigation of different rulings of the Constitutional Chamber. Since 2005, has been the lead associate attorney in constitutional, antitrust and regulatory matters for private sector companies, with expertise in complex markets such as aviation, energy and telecommunications sector. In the antitrust area, he provides preventive legal counsel through legal advice, training, seminars and audit, as well as legal representation in proceedings held before the Competition Authorities and Regulators. His area of practice also encompasses IT Law, providing counsel to different international and local companies with respect to regulatory requirements for electronic agreements, and privacy and data protection.
