Luis Gerardo García Santos Coy is a partner at Creel, García-Cuéllar, Aiza y Enríquez and a member of the firm’s board of directors. His practice focuses on antitrust and competition law, actively participating in cases before the competition authorities, from complex pre-merger filings, to investigations, administrative procedures, constitutional (amparo) proceedings, as well as leniency applications. Mr García also regularly advises multinationals and private equity investors on acquisitions and investments in Mexico across multiple industries, as well as helping clients with FDI regulation in Mexico. Mr García has participated in some of the most relevant and sophisticated cases before the antitrust authorities.
Mr García has been ranked or cited as Band 1, Tier 1 or equivalent in antitrust and competition by many publications, including: Chambers and Partners, Global Competition Review, The Legal 500, Best Lawyers and Who’s Who Legal. He has also been consistently recognised as LACCA approved by the Latin America Corporate Counsel Association.
He is a member of the Mexican Bar Association and the International Bar Association. Mr García is also a frequent speaker in national and international events on antitrust related matters and has written multiple articles and papers on various legal subjects.
Mr García obtained his law degree (JD) from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City in 1993.
