Leonardo Rocha e Silva is a partner in the litigation and competition law practice groups of Pinheiro Neto Advogados. He has extensive experience in various antitrust issues, including cartel investigations, cases related to abusive use of dominant position and merger filings. Leonardo has defended clients in complex litigation involving competition law and business practices in regulated sectors (notably the telecommunications and mining industries). He has been lead counsel for defendants in high-profile cases against software, drugs and automobiles producers.Leonardo holds an LLM degree in international economic law from the University of Warwick (UK, 1999). He was an assistant at the Brazilian Mission before the WTO (Geneva, 2003) and a foreign associate at Denton Wilde Sapte (UK, 1999). He has published several articles on vertical restraints of trade, merger control, and on the interaction between competition policy and international trade. Leonardo has been recognised as a leading competition law practitioner by Chambers Latin America and other independent services.
