Kenneth Motsa is a partner at Robinson Bertram and is responsible for the firm’s commercial law department. He obtained his BA in law from the University of Swaziland and his LLB from the University of Cape Town. He also holds an LLM from the University of South Africa as well as a Certificate in Advanced Corporate Law and Securities from the University of South Africa. Mr Motsa is an admitted attorney of the High Courts of Swaziland and South Africa, having been admitted in 1997 and 1998 respectively. Mr Motsa has been a partner at Robinson Bertram since 2004 and has considerable experience in commercial matters, constitutional matters and competition law. He is also involved in commercial, constitutional and competition litigation and has handled high-profile commercial matters involving a number of clients such as banks, multinational corporations, parastatals and municipalities. He has represented individuals and non-governmental organisations in various constitutional challenges in the courts of Swaziland. Mr Motsa has published a number of articles in various international journals and magazines including publishing a chapter on competition law in Swaziland for Bowman Gilfillan Competition Law Africa and an article for Getting the Deal Through – Merger Control 2014. He has appeared in a number of cases in Swaziland, including Premier Group and Swaziland United Bakeries Limited/Sinkhwa SemaSwati Limited; Eagles Nest (Pty) Limited/Usuthu Poultry Farm (Pty) Limited; Kansai Paint Company Limited/Freeworld Plascon Swaziland (Pty) Limited; and Premier Swazi Bakeries (Pty) Limited/Ngwane Mills (Pty) Limited.
