An antitrust and competition specialist, Kee Hong Chun has represented clients in a number of international and domestic cartel cases, including the Japanese TFT-LCD case, Air-cargo case, Libor case and in deals such as eBay’s acquisition of Gmarket and Western Digital’s acquisition of Sandisk. On behalf of Korea’s largest internet search engine, Mr Chun successfully persuaded the KFTC to adopt the first consent decree he proposed. Recently, he was a key member of a team which obtained dismissal for a multinational financial institution in a high-profile cartel case. Mr Chun was listed in Asian Legal Review’s ‘40 under 40’ in 2015 and was listed among the ‘40 of the brightest young legal minds in the region’. The publication ranked only three practitioners in Korea, of which Mr Chun was the only competition law specialist. Mr Chun was also recognised by Euromoney Expert Guides as Rising Star in 2016 and by Who’s Who Legal: Competition 2017.
