Javier Pérez Fernández is an EU & Competition law senior associate at Ramón y Cajal Abogados, based in the Madrid office. He specialises in private antitrust litigation, representing clients in cartel and abuse of dominance damages claims. He also has extensive experience in unfair competition and intellectual property litigation. Additionally, he has assisted clients in contentious antitrust matters before administrative authorities and appellate courts.

Prior to joining Ramón y Cajal Abogados in 2016, Javier worked as an associate in a leading Spanish firm in the private antitrust litigation team.

Javier regularly collaborates with Universidad Carlos III in Madrid, teaching antitrust law and public international law as an associate professor. He coaches the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid’s teams participating in the “Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition” and the “Moot de Libre Competencia – Universidad del Pacífico”.

Javier graduated in law and business administration from the Universidad Carlos III in Madrid (2013), where he later obtained an LLM in European Union Law (2014). He is a member of the Madrid Bar and a registered economist.
