Huy Do is a partner at Fasken and is the co-leader of the firm’s competition, marketing and foreign investment group. His practice focuses on antitrust/ competition, marketing and foreign investment law.
Huy is a widely recognised leader in Canadian competition, marketing and foreign investment laws. He is a past chair and past member of the Executive of the Competition and Foreign Investment Law Section of the Canadian Bar Association and currently serves as a non-governmental adviser to the International Competition Network. Huy is ranked in Chambers Global, Chambers Canada, PLC Which lawyer?, Who’s Who Legal, Canadian Lexpert, Lexpert ALM 500, The Legal 500: Canada and Best Lawyers in Canada for his competition/antitrust practice.
Huy has extensive experience advising foreign clients, including state-owned enterprises, on economic and national security reviews under Canadian foreign investment law (the Investment Canada Act). He also brings his wealth of experience, including from his time with the Competition Bureau, to advise clients in complex domestic and international competition law cases, including in relation to mergers, criminal cartels, deceptive marketing and abuse of dominance investigations.
