Giovana Porto

Giovana Vieira Porto is a junior associate at Pinheiro Neto Advogados, focusing on compliance and antitrust practices. She obtained her bachelor's degree at the University of Brasília (UnB) in 2018. Giovana Vieira Porto won the IBRAC-TIM Award in 2017 in the Bachelor’s Degree Category presenting an article regarding compensation for antitrust damages in Brazil, with the title “As ações ajuizadas com pedido de indenização por dano de cartel: uma análise empírica do estado da arte no Brasil”. She also published an article called “A Cessão de Crédito Devido por Ressarcimento ao Dano Material Oriundo de Cartel: Um Novo Business?” in the competition journal Revista de Defesa da Concorrência published by the Brazilian Competition Authority Administrative Council for Economic Defence. She is currently one of the event directors in the Brazilian Network “Women in Antitrust” for the 2019–2020 period.
