Gian Diego Pini is an associate in the competition law practice of Skadden in Brussels. His practice covers all aspects of EU, UK, international and Italian antitrust and competition law, including litigation before EU and national courts, cartel investigations, abuse of dominance and multi-jurisdictional merger control before the European Commission, the UK CMA and national competition authorities.

In addition, Pini regularly advises clients on the antitrust aspects of commercial practices, including joint ventures and cooperation agreements, licence and distribution agreements, life-cycle management, rebates, compliance programmes and damages claims. He has worked with clients from a broad range of industries, such as tech, aerospace, e-commerce, regulated industries (financial services and energy), medical devices, pharmaceuticals and retail consumer goods.

In 2020, he was part of the team that advised Aspen in the European Commission’s article 102 investigation of the company’s pricing practices, which was awarded Impact Case of the Year at the Benchmark Litigation Europe Awards.
