Felipe Lacerda is a dual-qualified lawyer (New York, US and Brazil) with more than 10 years of experience in advising corporations and financial institutions on a wide range of corporate finance transactions and cross-border matters, with a special focus on Brazil.
Felipe has advised companies across a broad range of industries, including financial service sectors, TMT, infrastructure, health, agribusiness, food and beverage. Felipe has represented acquirers and sellers in stock and asset deals, mergers, joint ventures, business combinations and other relevant commercial transactions, as well as parties to public and private offerings of debt and equity securities. His practice also includes advising foreign investors doing business in Brazil. He has been working closely with US, European and Asian firms and corporations carrying out FDI in Brazil, assisting with corporate, contractual, due diligence and regulatory matters.
Felipe obtained his law degree from the University of São Paulo in 2010 and an LLM from the University of Chicago in 2017. Before joining the firm, Felipe practised at one of the top-tier Brazilian firms and worked as a foreign associate with a major international law firm. His diverse background and practice give him the ability to help clients communicate across different legal and business cultures in transactions involving Brazil and Latin America.
