Faizah Jamaludin

Faizah Jamaludin is a partner at Skrine and heads its competition and oil and gas practice groups. She was named by the 2013 and 2014 editions of Who’s Who Legal: Business Lawyers and of Who’s Who Legal: Lawyers and Economists as a leading competition lawyer in Malaysia. The Legal 500 Asia-Pacific 2014 named Faizah and her team as “the leading oil & gas lawyers in Malaysia” and the 2013 and 2014 editions of International Financial Law Review named her as a leading lawyer in Malaysia. Faizah served on the Malaysian government’s working group on competition policy and law and represented the MICCI in the government’s consultation group (CG-25) on the draft law. Before joining Skrine, Faizah was legal counsel with Exxon Mobil in Malaysia for eight years.Faizah and her team have advised companies in various industries on Malaysia’s competition laws and in implementing competition compliance procedures for their Malaysian operations. Her clients include major international and local companies and government-linked corporations. She acted for the liner operators in their block exemption application to the Malaysian Competition Commission (MyCC), the first block exemption given under the Competition Act. She is currently acting for another industry group in their block exemption application to the MyCC.Faizah holds an LLM from the University of Southampton and is a barrister of the Inner Temple, London. She was called to the English and Malaysian Bars. She is currently the vice president of the Malaysian Inner Temple Alumni and an executive committee member of AIPN’s Asia Regional Chapter.
