Elisa Stefanini has extensive experience in regulatory and compliance matters, with a particular focus on pharmaceuticals and medical devices and other areas of the life sciences sector.
Her experience includes clinical trials, placing on the market, promotion and advertising of pharmaceuticals and medical devices. She has also gained experience in matters of protection of personal data in the context of clinical trials, with particular regard to the processing of genetic data, including through biobanks. She also advises on life sciences regulatory matters also in the context of M&A transactions.
Elisa earned a law degree (cum laude) from Bocconi University in 2004 and a postgraduate diploma from the Academy of European Law at the European University Institute in Fiesole in 2006, and completed her PhD in constitutional law at the University of Milan in 2007. During her doctoral studies, Elisa conducted research at King’s College London.
She has authored several publications on biotechnology and scientific research, as well as numerous articles in some of the most prestigious journals in the field and in magazines specialised in the life sciences sector. She regularly speaks at conferences and seminars.
