Domenico Siciliano
Domenico Siciliano is a senior lawyer in Bird & Bird's competition and regulated markets department. He joined the Rome office of the firm in April 2006.Before joining Bird & Bird he worked for Clarich Libertini Macaluso & Valli Law Firm (later CLMV) and then Libertini & Associati Law Firm.After graduating from Rome University La Sapienza, Mr Siciliano worked with the Industrial Law chair at the Faculty of Law University. He took postgraduate courses on EU competition law at Downing College, Cambridge (UK) in 2001, and in Business Studies at the London Guildhall University in 2000.Mr Siciliano's main area of expertise are competition and regulated markets, and commercial litigation and arbitration. He has written several articles in such matters. Mr Siciliano advises Italian private and public companies on the application of competition law - on both sides of antitrust and unfair competition - and media and broadcasting regulation.Mr Siciliano is a member of the Rome Bar and was a member of the Civil Law and Procedure Commission from 2004 to 2006, in which capacity he organised and gave a speech at a seminar on enforcement of competition rules.
