Dinoo Muthappa is a managing associate at the competition practice of TT&A. She has advised Indian and foreign clients on complex matters across various sectors such as digital markets, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, media, FMCG, glass, etc.

She has successfully advised and represented clients in precedent-setting behavioural matters, including before the CCI, NCLAT, High Courts and Supreme Court. She also regularly advises and represents clients (both Indian and multinational) in leniency proceedings before the CCI.

On the merger control side, she has been extensively involved in both Form I and Form II merger filings of the India legs of several multi-jurisdictional transactions to the CCI. Most recently, she advised a consortium of investors (GIP, Meridiam & CDC) on its acquisition of divestment assets emerging out Veolia’s acquisition of Suez SA). She has advised on divestitures on Linde AG’s US$90 billion merger with Praxair Inc and Eastern Condiments Private Limited in its transaction with Orkla-owned MTR Food Private Limited, forming one of India’s largest spices and packaged foods brands.

Dinoo also has regulatory experience by working with the CCI between 2014 to 2017, including serving with the Office of the Chairperson, CCI. She is also one of only two Indian recipients of the Concurrences Writing Awards for her article titled ‘The Curious Case of Compulsory Licensing in India’.

Dinoo received her LLM degree from King’s College London in 2011 and her BSL LLB with honours degree from Indian Law Society, University of Pune in 2010.
