Denes Rothschild is an associate in BLG’s Toronto office and specialises in competition and antitrust law as a member of the firm’s competition/antitrust and foreign investment practice. Mr Rothschild’s practice includes complex and multi-jurisdictional antitrust class action proceedings, proceedings before the Competition Tribunal, and advocacy on behalf of the approval of complex mergers and acquisitioins with the Competition Bureaux. He has acted for clients in many major national cartel cases, including those involving auto parts, retail gasoline and airline cargo services and major mergers including the acquisition of Shoppers Drug Mart Corp by Loblaw Companies Ltd. Mr Rothshild regularly speaks and writes on issues in competition law, including as an adjunct professor at Dalhousie University’s School of Law.
