David Burns’s practice focuses on antitrust and competition law, representing businesses in merger reviews and government investigations before the Department of Justice and Federal Trade Commission, and in antitrust litigation in federal court. David’s practice spans many industries, with a particular focus on life sciences, tech, and other matters at the intersection of antitrust law and intellectual property. David also regularly provides sophisticated counseling for avoidance of antitrust liability on topics such as IP licensing, patent litigation settlements, joint ventures and other collaboration agreements, and the HSR merger review process. David has been recognised as a ‘Rising Star in Antitrust Litigation’ by Super Lawyers (2018–2020) and in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch for Antitrust Law (2021).
