Dave Anderson is a partner in BLP’s Competition, EU & Trade team, and heads the firm’s Brussels office. He is a US national qualified in the US and UK, and a member of the Brussels Bar.Dave has practised in London and Brussels in the international competition field for over 15 years. His practice focuses on EU and international antitrust aspects of mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, cartels and abuses of dominant positions. He also advises on EU regulatory law and on EU public affairs and communications strategies.Dave is very active on behalf of clients on the policy side of international antitrust. He is a non-governmental adviser to the European Commission on the work of the International Competition Network (ICN), a body comprising all of the world’s major antitrust agencies. Dave serves on the ICN’s merger and unilateral conduct (abuse of dominance) working groups.He has advised the European Commission, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), and many national competition agencies on competition law reform and agency capacity building. He has addressed major competition law conferences organised by the ICN, the United Nations, the World Bank and national competition authorities, has authored numerous articles on competition law and policy, and frequently appears on the television and in print media as an expert commentator on international competition law issues.
