Martin Low is a partner in McMillan LLP. His practice includes the full range of competition regulation, litigation and advisory work, with a particular focus on Canadian and international cartel, merger and abuse of dominance matters. Prior to joining the firm, Mr Low held senior management positions in the Canadian Department of Justice. From 1995 to 2000, Mr Low was the senior general counsel at the Canadian Competition Bureau. He was the principal lawyer on the major international cartel prosecutions of the period. He also conducted domestic and international abuse of dominance and merger cases affecting all sectors of the economy, including the transportation and aviation fields. Since entering private practice, Mr Low has represented clients in transaction work and litigation in complex competition matters of both Canadian and international significance. He is widely recognised as a prominent specialist in competition law by the major legal directories. Mr Low plays a leadership role internationally in competition and antitrust law and policy, through professional bodies including the CBA, IBA and ABA.
