Christine Wilson

Christine Wilson is a partner in O’Melveny’s Washington, DC office. Her practice focuses on antitrust and trade regulation and international competition law and policy. Prior to joining O’Melveny, Christine served as chief of staff to Chairman Timothy J Muris at the Federal Trade Commission from 2001 to 2002.Christine’s experience as an antitrust enforcer enables her to provide informed counsel to clients on maximising business opportunities while complying with the antitrust laws. Clients rely on Christine to obtain antitrust approval for complex global mergers, to shape business initiatives that comply with the antitrust laws and to represent their interests in high-stakes government antitrust investigations.Representative experience includes representing Northwest Airlines in its merger with Delta Air Lines as well as before the Department of Transportation and the DoJ in its successful bid for antitrust immunity with SkyTeam partners; ExxonMobil before the FTC in the agency’s investigation of price-gouging following Hurricanes Katrina and Rita; and Verizon Communications in its acquisition of MCI Inc.Christine is a recognised authority on global antitrust and competition issues. She serves as an adviser to the US government in connection with the Unilateral Conduct Working Group of the International Competition Network (ICN). She is a member of the Competition Committees of both the US Council for International Business (USCIB) and the Business and Industry Advisory Committee (BIAC) to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). In addition, she serves on the International Task Force of the Antitrust Section of the American Bar Association.
