Bridget Dundee

Director for Economics & Sector ResearchBridget Dundee currently works as the technical advisor to the chief executive officer of the Namibian Competition Commission. She is the former senior economist in the Restrictive Business Practices Division at the Namibian Competition Commission. The Division is responsible for the investigation of restrictive agreements, practices, abuse of dominance and exemptions. Before joining the Namibian Competition Commission she was an academic staff member of the Department of Economics and Finance at Namibia’s University of Science and Technology (previously Polytechnic of Namibia), where she taught various courses in micro- and macroeconomics. She was also the chief economist in the Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources in Namibia, a position she relinquished in 2005 when she joined the Namibia University of Science and Technology.  Bridget holds postgraduate qualifications in economics and education. Her research interests are in economic policy and regional integration. She is a regular presenter at international conferences and has written numerous columns for a local daily newspaper in Namibia.
