Bogdan Evtimov is partner in Salans’ Brussels office and a member of the EU/competition and trade practice. Bogdan has obtained extensive experience in trade, competition and EU law in leading trade practices in Brussels since 2001, and is one of the original members of Salans’ Brussels office. He has been a member of the Sofia Bar since 1999.Bogdan graduated in law from Sofia University in 1996 and obtained an LLM in EU law from the College of Europe (Bruges) in 2001. In his earlier career he served in the administration of the president of the Republic of Bulgaria. Bogdan represents and advises multinationals, industry associations and government authorities in the EU and worldwide on a broad spectrum of trade, competition and customs law and policy matters. He has also gained substantial experience in WTO matters and has particular experience in the interface between competition and trade.Bogdan has authored a chapter on specificity of subsidies in the respected Max Planck Institute’s Commentaries on World Trade Law (2008). He has also had a number of publications in renowned EU and international trade journals. Bogdan Evtimov is member of the alumni association of the College of Europe and founding member of the Bulgarian Association for European Law.
