Bill Baer is a partner with Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer. He is the only individual ever to lead antitrust enforcement at both US antitrust enforcement agencies, serving as Assistant Attorney General in charge of the Antitrust Division of the US Department of Justice (DOJ) from 2013 to 2016, and as Director of the Bureau of Competition at the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) from 1995 to 1999. After leading the Antitrust Division, and immediately prior to rejoining the firm in 2017, Mr Baer served as Acting Associate Attorney General, the third highest official in the Department of Justice.
