Beatriz Hidalgo is a senior associate in FerradaNehme’s competition department. Since joining FerradaNehme in 2014, Beatriz has advised clients on competition law and regulation matters; she has experience in competition law litigation, administrative procedures, merger control operation analysis and the implementation of compliance programmes. Beatriz has experience advising firms in regulated and non-regulated markets as well as advising on public repartition. She has participated in several trials before the Chilean Competition Tribunal and investigations from the Chilean Competition Authority.

Beatriz has a degree in legal and social sciences from the University of Chile and a diploma in economic regulation from the Adolfo Ibáñez University, and recently finished an LLM in competition law at King’s College London, which she studied with the Becas Chile scholarship. Beatriz is co-author of the book ¿Por qué se aprueban tantas fusiones? and the article ‘Vertical restraints in competition law’. She taught on the competition law course at the Adolfo Ibáñez University in 2017 and 2018, and has been a teaching assistant in economic law and other courses related to competition law and regulation at the University of Chile.
