Azza A Raslan joined the office in 2008. Azza works across a number of practice groups: banking and finance, M&A, and antitrust and competition. Azza advises and represents clients in requests for information/investigations, in post-merger notifications, on compliance issues, intellectual property rights, data protection and international trade issues. In 2010, Azza started her PhD at University College London. The topic of her PhD is the synergies between competition laws, development economics and developing countries and the role international organisations play in that regard. Azza worked as a teacher assistant to Prof Valentine Korah at UCL. Azza is also an editor for the Kluwer publication World Competition, Law and Economics Review. Before joining the firm, Azza worked at the Egyptian Competition Authority from the time of its establishment until she left to take her LLM degree at the University of California at Berkeley.
