Avantika Chowdhury provides expert advice in antitrust investigations and disputes and leads Oxera’s life sciences work. She has more than 15 years’ experience of advising on cases in front of the European Commission, national competition authorities and national courts, focusing mainly on behavioural matters and damages. Avantika has acted as an expert in disputes before the High Court of England and Wales, the UK Competition Appeal Tribunal, and courts in Ireland and the Netherlands.

She is an expert in the life sciences sector, having advised companies throughout the value chain, including originators and generic pharmaceutical companies, medical device suppliers and pharmacies, on a wide range of matters including antitrust investigations, mergers, damages actions and antitrust disputes, licensing and other IP disputes, and regulatory issues. She is listed in The International Who’s Who of Competition Lawyers & Economists since 2017 and also as a Thought Leader. She also provides training for EU judges in assessment of damages and the use of economics in competition cases.
