As both a patent attorney and a solicitor, Andrew focuses on both the prosecution and litigation of patents. He is an expert on the complexities of FRAND, having represented clients in the leading UK FRAND cases, including: Unwired Planet v Huawei; Conversant v Huawei & ZTE; IP Bridge v Huawei; and Optis v Apple. Andrew regularly advises clients on FRAND methodologies and approaches for negotiating SEP licences.
As co-head of the UK litigation team, Andrew has been responsible for litigation ranging from IPEC to the Supreme Court, and he is an authorised representative for the Unified Patent Court.
