Andrew Lacy is a co-chair of Goodwin’s antitrust and competition practice and a member of the firm’s life sciences disputes group. He advises clients on transaction-related antitrust risk, negotiating terms of agreements and determining the applicability of merger clearance filing requirements in both US and foreign jurisdictions. He represents clients before the Federal Trade Commission, the US Department of Justice and state regulators in connection with informal inquiries, second requests, conduct investigations and third-party subpoenas. Mr Lacy has represented clients in merger challenges, class actions and other private antitrust litigation matters. He also provides guidance on antitrust issues related to diligence and pre-closing conduct procedures, internal compliance programmes, hiring and non-compete agreements, vendor agreements and competitor collaboration guidelines. Prior to joining Goodwin, Mr Lacy was a partner in the antitrust practice of a leading international law firm that was recognised as the ‘Antitrust Department of the Year’ by Chambers USA 2016 and the ‘Antitrust Litigation Department of the Year’ by The American Lawyer 2014. Mr Lacy is recognised by The Legal 500: US. He has also been recognised as a ‘Litigation Star’ by Benchmark Litigation.
