Aaron Schiff
Aaron is a consulting and academic economist with particular expertise in the economics of networks and e-commerce, telecommunications, regulation, competition policy and intellectual property. He received his PhD in Economics from the University of Auckland (2005) and has published papers in peer-reviewed international journals. He has consulted for a number of sectors in New Zealand and abroad, including fixed and mobile telecommunications, banking, aviation and tourism. He is also highly skilled at quantitative economic modeling, econometric and statistical analysis, and forecasting. Aaron's recent work includes advising Vodafone New Zealand on a range of regulatory issues, including regulation of mobile termination rates, international benchmarking and universal service obligations; modelling competition in international internet bandwidth; advising on competition issues in payment systems; and forecasting tourism activity in New Zealand.
