Dr Namwoo Kim is a senior foreign lawyer and partner at Trinity Legal, a Seoul-based business law firm. His primary areas of expertise are competition, capital market and commercial transactions. Prior to Trinity, he worked as an attorney at Bae, Kim & Lee LLC, providing legal services mainly related to global antitrust and competition law and consumer pro­tection law issues. He also served as antitrust counsel at LG Electronics, Inc, where he was primarily responsible for the antitrust compliance programme and consultations. He taught or has extensive teaching experience on competition law, corporate law and law and eco­nomics at various universities and law schools in Korea. He started his legal career at the Office of International Affairs, in the US Federal Trade Commission, as a foreign legal consultant. He has published articles mostly in the field of antitrust law and competition policy. He is a member of North Carolina State Bar, North Carolina Bar Association and American Bar Association. He received his SJD in 2010 from American University Washington College of Law and his LLM in 2003 and LLCM in 2004 from University of Pennsylvania Law School. Dr. Kim earned his bachelor’s degree from Yonsei University.
