Prof Dr Albrecht Bach is a senior partner at Oppenländer. He heads Oppenländer’s competition law team. His practice focuses on European and German competition law.
Albrecht has represented companies before the German FCO and the European Commission, in particular in merger control filings, cartel investigations and dominance cases. Industries of particular expertise include telecommunications/media, automotive, energy and pharmaceuticals/cosmetics. He has particular experience in private enforcement cases.
Albrecht serves as a board member of the Antitrust Lawyers’ Association for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. He is teaching European competition law at Mannheim University. Albrecht is a contributor to two leading commentaries on German antitrust law. He has spoken frequently at various international competition conferences and published numerous articles on competition law.
Albrecht graduated from the Universities of Tübingen (Dr iur 1991) and Aix-en-Provence.
