Daeyong Baek is a partner of Shin & Kim. His practice focuses on governmental regulation, including antitrust and competition, personal information, consumer, IT and legislative advisory matters. He has been involved in many significant cases relating to cartels, business combination, abuse of market dominant position, unfair ad-vertisement, personal information protection, location information protection, consumer protection and so on. He specialises in regulatory matters and serves as an advisory council to Seoul Electronic Commerce Center (2004-present); the Korea Communications Commission (2011-present); the Ministry of Government Admin-istration and Home Affairs (2011-present); the Personal Information Protection Commission (2011-present); the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning (2014-Present); the Korea National Council of Consumer Organi-zations (2015-Present); and the Korea Copyright Protection Agency (2016-Present). He co-authored the Korea chapter of The Guide to Competition & Antitrust of IFLR in 2011. He graduated from Yonsei University (LLB, 2001, LLM, 2006) and Georgetown Law Center (LLM, 2010). He is a member of Korean Bar Association and New York Bar Association.
