Adrien Giraud is a national partner in the Antitrust and Competition Department of Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP. Adrien’s practice encompasses the full spectrum of competition law matters, including merger control, anticompetitive practices, abuse of dominance and State aid. He provides counseling and handles litigation matters in both the EU and France and has particular expertise in the sectors of energy, chemicals, transport, telecommunications, broadcasting, banking and insurance.
Adrien has been named a ‘rising Star’ of the Brussels market by Euromoney LMG (2015) and is listed in Best Lawyers in France, Competition/Antitrust (2014/2015). Since 2009, Adrien has been teaching european antitrust law at Université Paris Descartes. Prior to joining Willkie Farr & Gallagher in 2006, Adrien worked as an associate in the Antitrust Competition and Trade group of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Paris. Adrien holds an LLM from the University of Chicago and a postgraduate diploma in European Law from the Université Paris I – Panthéon-Sorbonne. He is fluent in French and English and conversant in Portuguese.
