Christine Meyer is director general of the Norwegian Competition Authority. She is also a professor at the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) and is on leave to serve the Competition Authority. Meyer received her PhD from the NHH and her research interests have centred around mergers and acquisitions and strategy formulation and change. Besides being a professor, Meyer has been a junior minister for the Norwegian government and a commisioner for finance and health for the City of Bergen. In her position as junior minister, Meyer was responsible for the modernisation of the public sector and competition policy. Meyer has also been vice rector for international affairs at NHH and has served on a number of boards.
