Charles McConnell has been a reporter at Global Competition Review since March 2016 and has extensive experience covering the spectrum of American antitrust issues. He has reported from the courtroom during several litigations covered in this book, including the Federal Trade Commission’s challenge to the Staples/Office Depot tie-up and the Department of Justice’s bids to block the Anthem/Cigna and Aetna/Humana health insurance mergers. Charles also has reported from Capitol Hill, covering Senate and House antitrust subcommittee hearings on various mergers and other antitrust concerns. Charles has his bachelor’s degree in political science from Trinity College in Connecticut and a master’s degree in mass communication from Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
