The Supreme Court refused to take one antitrust case yesterday, but set the date to hear oral arguments in another. It is shaping up to be a busy autumn, with the Federal Trade Commission’s hearings next week bumping up against the American Bar Association’s master course in antitrust – and at least one competition event every week through to Thanksgiving. In the meantime, we’re waiting in downtown Manhattan for a jury to be selected in the trial of UK traders accused of rigging Forex rates. As the court scrutinises each candidate for bias, we could be here for a while.
