Jones Day partner Mike Knight, who served as the assistant director of the Federal Trade Commission’s bureau of competition, is moderating a panel on whether efficiencies are likely to become a concern for the US agencies in antitrust analysis at next week’s seventh annual GCR Live Antitrust Law Leaders Forum in Miami. In a Q&A with GCR USA, Knight highlights his thoughts on increased scepticism of efficiency claims in the US, and says he’s eager to hear from his fellow panellists about the differences in the theoretical standards for identifying merger efficiencies in different jurisdictions.
