US DOJ: antitrust shouldn’t interfere in SEPs if other laws are available
The second-highest official in the US Department of Justice’s antitrust division has said policing patent holders’ commitments to standard-setting organisations is “really not the duty or role of the Antitrust Division, or antitrust law for that matter”.
