UK court overturns “arbitrary” costs cap in first subsidy appeal

A UK appellate court has overturned a cap on legal fees imposed by the Competition Appeal Tribunal in the first-ever challenge to be brought against a Subsidy Control Act decision, ruling that the restriction on costs was “artificial and arbitrary”.
