South Africa seeks toughest penalty in face mask cartel probe

South Africa’s antitrust watchdog has asked the country’s specialist competition tribunal to impose the harshest possible fines on two personal protective equipment suppliers that it says fixed prices and divided the market during the height of the covid-19 pandemic.
