Major UK retailers agree to remove anticompetitive clauses amid CMA cost of living concerns

Sainsbury’s and Asda have agreed to remove clauses in land agreements that illegally prevent rivals from opening competing stores in certain locations, as the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority increases its scrutiny of the grocery sector during the cost of living crisis.
