Germany’s Monopolies Commission calls for partial break up of national rail operator

The independent expert body responsible for advising the German government on antitrust policy has called on lawmakers to effectively carve out Deutsche Bahn’s infrastructure arm from the rest of the company in order to promote competition in the market.
