EU rejects Suez’s gun-jumping complaint against Veolia

The European Commission has cleared the way for Veolia to proceed with its planned €11.3 billion hostile takeover of Suez, after the latter failed to convince the agency that Veolia’s recent acquisition of a minority investment in the company breached EU merger control rules.
