EU raises stakes in Google/Fitbit discussions

The European Commission has reportedly asked for more data remedies from Google as it probes the Alphabet subsidiary’s $2.1 billion acquisition of Fitbit, although the agency’s apparent tougher stance is unlikely to appease the deal’s critics.
