ECJ confirms GDPR and antitrust enforcement overlap

The EU’s highest court has allowed Germany’s competition authority to rely on EU data protection violations to prove that Meta breached abuse of dominance rules, in a highly-awaited ruling that may increase the exposure of large digital companies to further antitrust scrutiny.
