DG Comp fines battery recycling buyers' cartel

The EU’s competition watchdog today fined three recycling companies €67 million after finding they colluded to reduce the purchase prices of scrap lead-acid automotive batteries, in a rare example of a cartel designed to suppress purchasing prices.
