COMESA partially blocks AkzoNobel deal

The Competition Commission for the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa has prohibited AkzoNobel’s acquisition of Kansai Paint’s decorative coatings business in three of its member states, but conditionally approved the deal across the rest of the trade bloc.
